The Trust exists to protect the wonderful and diverse habitats in Sussex including ancient woodland, chalk downland, heathland, grazing marsh, saltmarsh, and dramatic coastline.
The Trust manages 3,500 acres of land in 32 nature reserves, which include some of the finest wild places in Sussex. Over 450 active volunteers are involved in all aspects of the Trusts work and together work more than 6,500 days a year for the Trust.
Through our renowned environmental education programme, and our programme of courses and events we enable people of all ages to understand respect and value the diversity of habitats and wildlife in Sussex.
