nearest town: Chichester
highlights: Huge variety of waders and wildfowl, and southern marsh orchid.
access: Most of the Local Nature Reserve, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, can be viewed from a number of vantage points, and there are footpaths around the harbour itself. There is no access to Ferry Field, to avoid disturbing the birds, but it can be seen from the comfort of the hide close to the Visitor Centre. Mill Pond Marsh is also closed to the public, but can be viewed from the minor road to the south.
