The Trust owns Ferry Field, a wet pasture and pool, and Mill Pond Marsh, a reedbed within the complex of sites forming the larger nature reserve

Pagham Harbour Local Nature Reserve is well known in the Chichester area for its large tidal mudflats attracting thousands of birds throughout the year, including little egrets, and for the shingle ridges lining the coast which are a site for rare plants such as the childling pink. A number of different sites make up the reserve; two of these are owned by the Trust and leased to West Sussex County Council who manage the reserve.

Getting around

Pagham Harbour is located six miles south of Chichester. Most of the Local Nature Reserve, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, can be viewed from a number of vantage points, and there are footpaths around the harbour itself. There is no access to Ferry Field (to avoid disturbing the birds) but it can be seen from the comfort of the hide close to the Visitor Centre. Mill Pond Marsh is also closed to the public, but can be viewed from the minor road to the south.
