highlights: Reed warbler, sedge warbler, lesser whitethroat, bearded tit, water rail, teal, reed bunting, bladderwort, frogbit, a variety of amphibians, wainscot and other specialist moths.
access: Access is via the footpath which runs alongside the Combe Haven river, from the Bulverhythe recreation ground just off the A259 in St. Leonards. After one kilometre there is a footbridge over the river, the reserve can be accessed from a boardwalk which leads to a viewing platform
