Enjoy a day with Sussex Wildlife Trust (SWT) learning woodcraft skills in one-to-one sessions with your child at Stanmer Park, Brighton on Saturday 26 January (11:00-15:00).
Woodcraft Skills Days are exclusively for parents or carers with a child aged ten plus. Activities vary according to the season but include how to use tools to make items from green wood, building a shelter in the woods, and lighting a fire to cook lunch in the open-air.
Over the past two years, families in Sussex have been enjoying the chance to practice their outdoor craft skills at SWT’s Go Wild in the Woods events. Parents enjoyed the activities every bit as much as the children so this year, as well as continuing the ever popular Going Wild sessions, there are four additional dates, designed exclusively for parents or guardians with a child aged ten plus.
The longer sessions will not only allow families to develop their outdoor craft skills but offer the chance to experience relaxation and freedom in an outdoor setting.
The first Woodcraft Skills Day is on Saturday 26 January at Stanmer Park, Brighton.
Three more Woodcraft Skills Day follow during 2008 as follows;
Saturday 16 February Woods Mill, Henfield
Saturday 15 November Stanmer Park, Brighton
Saturday 13 December Woods Mill, Brighton
