Sussex Wildlife Trust (SWT) will be holding a family event based on their Forest Schools programme, showing youngsters how to build shelters from fallen trees and branches on Saturday 29 September.
The event will take place in Friston Forest on the site of a new wildlife pond to be created thanks to the Big Lottery Fund, part of the BBC’s Breathing Places campaign, who have donated almost £9,000 to this project.
When completed early next year the wildlife pond will be used by schools taking part in the Trust’s education programme at Seven Sisters Country Park (SSCP). It will also be open to visitors to SSCP.
This event runs from 10:00-12noon and is free of charge but numbers are limited so booking is essential. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable clothing and footwear must be worn.
If you’d like to take part in this event please contact Filma Dyer on 01273 497561 to reserve your place.
