Sussex Wildlife Trust supports World Car Free Day
Led by Chief Executive Dr Tony Whitbread, eight staff from the county’s leading conservation charity left their cars at home today (Wednesday 12 September) and cycled to work in a bid to encourage people in Sussex to support World Car Free Day later this month.
Many Sussex Wildlife Trust (SWT) staff already car share their journey to work at Woods Mill Henfield (West Sussex) and use trains and buses to attend meetings wherever possible. Several staff regularly cycle to work, including Chief Executive Dr Tony Whitbread.
Staff donned badger suits (badgers feature of the logo of The Wildlife Trusts) to draw attention to their journey as they rode from the Peace Statue at Hove Lawns to Woods Mill, near Henfield.
