Come and discover more about the importance of hedgerows with Sussex Wildlife Trust (SWT) on Wednesday 12 September.
Hedgerows are especially important to butterflies and moths, farmland birds, bats and dormice, as well as providing an essential refuge for a huge variety of other plant and animal species.

After a classroom session, the day course continues outside identifying different hedgerow species and ways of calculating their age. For those interested in taking the course further, there will also be opportunities to find out how to get involved in hedgerow surveying.
