From ants to aphids, butterflies to beetles, discover the diverse and fascinating world of insects with Sussex Wildlife Trust (SWT) on
Saturday 9 June at Woods Mill, near Henfield.
Often unpopular with humans, bugs and creepy crawlies account for around 80% of the world’s species. This one day course is for anyone who wants to find out more about the insects of Sussex including how to identify, record and study them.
After an introductory indoor session, participants can go out on to the reserve to look for and identify a variety of insects in different habitats. Led by Sussex entomologist Dr Patrick Roper, the course also considers the different sorts of books and equipment available to help with insect identification.
The course runs from 10:00-16:00. Woods Mill is 1.5 miles south of Henfield on the A2037. Wheelchair access and disabled toilets available. Cost for members and concessions: £22.50. Non-members £30. Booking essential please ring Filma Dyer on 01273 497561.
