Sussex Wildlife Trust (SWT) is welcoming school parties to its nature reserve at Eridge Rocks near Tunbridge Wells for the first time this spring.
Eridge Rocks boasts impressive sandstone outcrops which host rare ferns, mosses and lichens and beautiful woodland with carpets of spring flowers.
Pupils from Groombridge St. Thomas Primary School and Frant Church of England Primary School are enjoying several days out on the nature reserve led by SWT’s education team.
As well as enjoying the current display of bluebells and woodland wildlife, the school children have also learnt about the reserve’s historical and scientific importance.
SWT teaches around 21,000 children a year across Sussex and is very pleased to extend its education to Eridge Rocks nature reserve in the north-east of the county. For more information on Eridge Rocks please visit our website www.sussexwt.org.uk/reserves/page00014.htm
