This five mile walk will take you through woodland, chalk downland and onto the South Downs ridge, where you have stunning views of Sussex as far as the North Downs. Find out about the formation of the Downs, the Iron Age hill forts, the local wildlife and how both animals and humans have affected the landscape.
Join in
Make a dormouse box for the local woods and find out about what is being done to help these creatures survive.
Celebrate
Come and relax in our special secret garden at the end of the walk. Re-fuel with baked potatoes and hot chocolate cooked over the campfire.

½ mile walk through park to Stanmer House from station.
Bus 78 to Stanmer Park from Brighton.
Parking is available in the park if you choose to drive.

There is an ice cream van at Ditchling Beacon, the half way point, and a café in Stanmer village.
