A chance for families to find out how they can be involved with this national garden bird survey and help WSCC Rangers record the birds visiting Buchan Country Park. Learn how to be a bird detective, a master chef and restaurant owner for our feathered customers. Enjoy making bird cake and feeders, plus bird spotting, quizzes and games.
Meet at Buchan Country Park Countryside Centre. Paths well defined but some can be muddy so stout footwear and warm/waterproof clothing essential. Bring your own refreshments. Sorry no dogs, only guide dogs by prior arrangement. Wheelchair access to the car park, countryside centre, toilets and surfaced paths only. Bus service from Dorsten Square, Bewbush, Crawley. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Enjoy a day of woodcraft skills including fire lighting, using tools to make items from green wood and working with other natural materials. Designed for parents or carers with a child aged ten plus. Learn to work together and develop a range of woodcraft skills. Please bring lunch as there will be the opportunity to cook your own food over the campfire. Robust outdoor clothing recommended. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
