Sit around the campfire hidden in a leafy glade in Friston Forest making musical instruments from natural materials. Then disturb the peace and quiet of the woods by making a lot of noise with your new instruments. Suitable for 7-12 year olds. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Come on a walk at dusk around the SWT reserve at Burton Pond just as the bats emerge for their evening feast. As well as seeing the bats you will also have a chance to hear them using bat detectors. Please bring a torch. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at Burton Mill Pond car park, three miles south of Petworth and one mile east of Duncton. Grid Map Ref: SU 979180. This is a seven mile circular walk exploring the wooded, hilly landscape with fine views across to the South Downs. Meet in Lickfold on the south side of the triangular green on Highstead Lane (at the Lickfold Bridge end - Explorer Map 133 Grid Ref SU 925259) at 9.45. Find out about this superb heathland reserve and the wildlife that lives here including dartford warbler, rare dragonflies and lizards. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
