Exhibition and Shop
There is an exhibition at the Country Park, which is housed in the Visitor Centre and run by the SDJC. It covers several themes including management of the area, history, wildlife and the voluntary marine nature reserve. There is no charge for entry to the Visitor Centre or exhibition. The Visitor Centre has a small shop that sells a limited range of items. Goody bags can be made up at a cost of £1.00 or £2.00 in advance by prior arrangement by ringing 01273 497561 or 01323 870100. The shop does not sell edible goods.

Picnic Facilities
School groups should bring their own packed lunches. Facilities will be provided to eat indoors if the weather is unsuitable to picnic. Schools are responsible for the removal of picnic litter.
Wet Weather
The purpose of the visit is to provide outdoor activities but should the weather make this impractical, indoor facilities will be provided and activities arranged accordingly.
First Aid
Schools are responsible for providing and administering their own first aid. Please ensure children are carrying any medication that they may require.
Please ensure a first aid trained adult accompanying school visits.
Residential Visits
The Schools Officer will be happy to discuss activities or evening introductory talks at Alfriston Youth Hostel as part of your residential course. For a guided walk from the Youth Hostel there is an additional charge. Further details are availbel on booking.
